Add GST to an amount, or work out how much GST is inside a GST-inclusive price. The split into CGST + SGST or IGST follows the place of supply.

How the calculation works

• Adding GST: GST = amount × rate. Total = amount + GST.
• Removing GST: taxable value = amount × 100 ÷ (100 + rate). GST = amount − taxable value.
• Intra-state: the GST is split equally into CGST and SGST (or UTGST). Inter-state: all of it is IGST.
